Let Their Light Shine!
We adore our kids ministry and are passionate to see them grow up in God’s house. Our vision for Beacon Kids is to see kids become followers of Jesus and have genuine encounters with Jesus through the worship, message and content. We hope to see kids learning and speaking the Scriptures into their circumstances. We hope to see kids enjoying church so much that they want to invite their friends. We see kids learning what love means, creating memories and building life-long relationships with their church family.
All about Beacon Kids
You have questions, we have answers.
Beacon Kids is for every child from 12 months old through to Year 6. Beacon Kids is held during our Sunday church services.
Children are placed in age-specific rooms where they can enjoy fun activities, singing, and engaging Bible teaching designed just for them. Each program encourages connection with peers and leaders through interactive group time, singing, and a message from our Kids Directors or Leaders. Kids also have the opportunity to discuss what they’ve learned, and throughout the term we host exciting themed services.
Age Groups:
Little Sparks (12 months – 3 years)
Little Sparks enjoy a playful, nurturing environment filled with toys, crafts, and age-appropriate faith-based music and videos. They’ll begin to discover the love of Jesus through simple truths and joyful interactions.
Depending on numbers, some weeks Little Sparks and Ignite may be combined into one room. However, Little Sparks will always have dedicated leaders caring for them.
Ignite (3 years – Grade 1)
Ignite kids start and end the service with free play, giving them time to build friendships. During the service, they’ll take part in singing, hear a Bible story, and respond through craft and group discussion.
Blaze (Grade 2 – Grade 6)
Blaze students enjoy connection time before coming together for group games and a message from one of our amazing leaders. The highlight is Tribe Time where they gather in small groups to read Scripture, pray, and dive deeper into the message through meaningful discussion.
Check-in opens at 7:50am and 9:50am, just before our 8:00am and 10:00am services. Our friendly check-in team will be ready to welcome you and help your family get settled.
Once you sign in your child, you will receive a tag with a barcode. This is your ‘check out’ tag, please keep this on you for after the service.
After the service, present your check out tag to the Check Out leader and they will stamp your tag. You may then enter through the gate, hand your stamped tag to the room leader, and then collect your child. To ensure the safety of your kid, only the person with the check out tag can collect the child.
At Beacon Kids, safety is one of our highest priorities! Every Beacon Kids volunteer holds a Blue Card required by the Queensland Government. This means each volunteer is required to go through a screening process and undertake a Safe Ministry Check.
Please we aware our team members do not change nappies. If your child has a soiled nappy, a team member will text/call you and request you to come change their nappy during the service.
