Join us Fridays at 7pm (during school term)!

Beacon Youth is the youth movement of Beacon Church. Our purpose is to guide young people towards a thriving relationship with Jesus and to see them positively influencing the world around them.

WHAT DO WE SEE?
WHAT DO WE SEE?
  • We see the young people in the City of Redlands passionate about their faith in Jesus.
  • We see this ministry as a safe place of refuge for the youth of the Redlands.
  • We see young people being discipled into all that God has called them to be.
HOW DO WE DO THIS?
HOW DO WE DO THIS?
  • We create fun experiences.
  • We create memorable moments.
  • We create space for encounters with God.

Connect Groups

We love doing life beyond a Friday night! Youth Connect Groups are the place to grow deeper with God alongside friends and leaders.

All about Beacon Youth

You have questions, we have answers.

Who is Beacon Youth for?

Beacon Youth is for every teenager in grades 7-12! In term 4, grade 6 students are invited to come along.

When/Where is Beacon Youth held?

Beacon Youth runs from 7pm to 9pm, every Friday night during the school term! Beacon Youth is held at Beacon Church.

What does a Friday night at youth look like?

Friday nights begin at 7pm with our check-in team welcoming you as you sign in. There is plenty of space and things to do while hanging out and connecting with friends and leaders. (Incl. basketball, card games and our Youth Canteen).

At 7:30pm, we head into our Youth Service. Kicking off with Pre Show, students have the chance to participate in multiple fun and hilarious games. Our Youth Band then leads us in Praise & Worship before we then hear a message from one of our Youth Pastors or Leaders.

We finish up with a final Praise Party before parents pick up at 9pm. Throughout the Term we host different themed nights which on occasion includes free food. Each Friday there are snacks and drinks available to purchase at our Youth Canteen.

How does Beacon Youth ensure my teenager is safe and secure?

At Beacon Youth, safety is one of our highest priorities! Every Beacon Youth volunteer holds a Blue Card required by the Queensland Government. This means each volunteer is required to go through a screening process and undertake a Safe Ministry Check.

Are there any house rules?

FOR PARENTS:
Beacon Youth is an underaged event. If you are over 18, not a high-schooler or parent/guardian, you cannot stay. All high-schoolers and the team must sign in on arrival. Sign in on Fridays is open from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Our commitment to parents/guardians is after your child checks in. Your responsibility is to make sure they are checked in. Only a designated person is allowed to pick up teenagers from the check in area. We do not allow students to leave unattended, without parent permission.

FOR HIGHSCHOOLERS:
Once you are checked in, you cannot leave the fenced area unless your parent/guardian picks you up. Once you leave after the sign-in period – you cannot come back. If you have been dropped off for the Beacon Youth program, you cannot loiter out the front. This is for your own safety.

We reserve the right to inspect your bags. We reserve the right to ask you to remove yourself from the property if you are intoxicated, under the influence, or if you are in possession of alcohol, illegal substances or dangerous equipment. This is a private property – you must adhere to the expectations and rules. If you cannot, you will be asked to leave. Respect and listen to your Youth Pastors and Leaders. Respect each other.
